Welcome to another "Dennis' Shed" page. Each of Dennis' ex-Australian Army Land-Rovers has it's own photo page:
Number 2: WEE-WULLIE This unit, after its Army years, was put back in service as a unit of the Bush Fire Brigade fleet. The initials on the rear indicate "Lawson Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade". The handmade sheet iron hardtop was probably fitted because the original canvas had become a fire risk. The ¼ ton GS units were all originally in Bronze Green paint. It looks beautiful! The chassis is perfect and has many coats of black enamel. |

Wee-Wullie was restored in time for ANZAC Day march 2001: The photos below are from Wee-Wullie's first ANZAC parade in April 2001 - when he joined up with Chloe and Castrol for the first time (that we know about anyway - they may have been side by side 'in-service' for years). Wee-Wullie is modelled on this photo from the Australian Army Land-Rovers in South Vietnam collection. |
