The Registry Of Ex-Military Land-Rovers Au, NZ, etc REMLR Land-Rover's on ANZAC Day 2001

These photos are of REMLR member's ANZAC Day activities in 2001.

The weather on the big day recorded below was terrific - blue sky all day with not a cloud or even a breeze. And what a day it was...

It was a wonderful sight to see three Series 2A ¼ ton G.S. Land-Rovers on parade together on ANZAC Day 2001. As well, Richard Lane, a REMLR member in northern Victoria paraded his Series 2A ¾ ton G.S. in an ANZAC parade and has pictures on line (website).

For ANZAC Day 2001 Wee-Wullie was all ready, having emerged from Dennis' shed only a couple of days before, just as Chloe had only just been finished on time for ANZAC Day last year.

So there they were, all three Landys forming up by 11.30am and looking good. All three units in the parade had new canvas tops fitted for the special day too. The march went off without a hitch and Dennis was very happy -he had achieved something special and memorable.

Afterwards, after a cuppa and a breather at Dennis & Dianne's home, we set off once again in convoy. But this time there were four Landys; the extra Landy was Sawmill, another ex-Army ¼ ton Landy. It joined in the convoy with Chloe, Wee-Wullie, Castrol. (see "A Ton Of Land-Rovers")
