Number 4: DIANNE-MAY

These are photos of Dianne-May, Dennis' Ambulance, in his back yard undergoing the time consuming 'fiddly' jobs that make up the final phase of a Ambulance restoration. In January 2003, Dennis was reaching the end of the repainting job: the Ambulance markings. Just masking up the roof to spray a red Geneva Cross took over an hour. Marking up, masking off, and painting the front Geneva Cross took a lot of thinking and tinkering to get exactly right. The placement and dimensions are -as near as practicable- factory perfect. Restoration is planned to finish in time for ANZAC Day 2002.

All the while Dennis was doing this he was keeping an eye on his growing "1960's Ambulance CES"... and on the lookout for his next restoration, an ex-Australian Army Land-Rover Series 2 Command Reconnaissance.
