Role: The primary role of the vehicle is the movement of cargo and / or 15 personnel on sealed or second class roads and under cross country conditions. The vehicle's load carrying capacity is 2 ton.
Description: The Truck, Light, Cargo, MC2 is a six wheeled vehicle designed specifically for military use. The vehicle is based on the Land Rover 110 series commercial, but with and extended chassis and an additional axle. The truck cargo is a constant four wheel drive, with selective six wheel drive for negotiating difficult terrain.
Information: Some applications will require the towing of a trailer of up to 900kg mass.
Chassis modifications include points for a helicopter sling, shipping tie down and vehicle recovery points.
The cab can accommodate up to three persons while the rear tray can accommodate up to twelve (12) persons or 2 tonne of cargo. This vehicle is only complianced for road use with three passengers in the cab. The vehicle has a range of up to 600 km on first class roads.
